Chiefs expect star players Travis Kelce and Chris Jones to return to the lineup in Week 2
Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the NFL, so we assume the Kansas City Chiefs will win when he and whoever else takes the field.
In Week 1, the Chiefs were without Chris Jones and Travis Kelce. Jones was sidelined due to a holdout. Kelce was sidelined with a knee injury two days before the season opener. The Chiefs lost to the Detroit Lions 21-20.
Both will return for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, barring any unforeseen after-effects.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid, via NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, said both stars will return. [but the return of both will be a plus for the Chiefs, even with half the normal workload. [You can do it so that you can really come across that you can actually forget about my partner and i promise, anyone who quickly just ignores these seemingly exactly how {} people. Jones ended his holdout this weekagreeing to a new one-year contract.
The Chiefs offense struggled against the Lions without Kelce, the best tight end in football. The receivers, especially Kadarius Toney, were in poor shape and could not rely on Kelce. Kelce continued to practice this week, indicating a possible return to the lineup.
It is also big news for the fantasy football player who drafted Kelce in the first round to miss the season opener due to an unexpected injury.
The Chiefs don't want to fall into an 0-2 hole to start the season, and the Jaguars, the favorites to win the AFC South, will be a tough test. At least the Chiefs won't be without two of their best players again.
